"Imereti Agro Zone" LL, and representatives of the horticulture training and demonstration center held an informational meeting with the greenhouse farmers of the Imereti region.
The First Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Giorgi Khanishvili opened the meeting with a welcome speech.
The First Deputy Minister again emphasized the Horticulture Training and Demonstration Center's role in implementing the "Imereti Agro Zone" greenhouse cluster development project.
"For the development of the greenhouse industry, it is necessary for farmers to have access to modern technologies and knowledge. The purpose of establishing the horticulture training and demonstration center is to give all interested persons the opportunity to introduce new approaches to farming that will help them improve the yield and the quality of the products they produce,"- said Giorgi Khanishvili.
The Director of "Imereti Agro Zone" LLC, Archil Bukia, and the Deputy Executive Director of the Horticulture Training and Demonstration Center, Giorgi Chkuaseli informed those present about the progress of the project and called for active involvement in the activities of the Horticulture Training and Demonstration Center.
Representatives of A-class member companies of Horticulture Training and Demonstration Center presented short presentations.
At the end of the meeting, 20 local farmers joined, as Class B Members, the Horticulture Training and Demonstration Center.
